📍 Allowing location for Harmony

Harmony records where you punch in and out, so your phone asks for location permission. It's used only when you tap Punch In / Punch Out — never in the background. Punching won't work unless location is allowed.

Open the site over https:// — you should see a 🔒 padlock. Location only works on a secure https:// page.

✅ First time: just tap “Allow”

When you tap Punch In, your browser shows a popup asking for location. Tap Allow.

Tap Allow (or “Allow only while using / while visiting”).

📱 Android (Chrome) — most common

A) Turn location back on for the site

If you earlier tapped Block, or nothing happens when you tap Punch In:

  1. Open the site in Chrome.
  2. Tap the 🔒 padlock next to the web address.
  3. Tap Permissions → Location.
  4. Set it to Allow.
  5. Reload the page and tap Punch In again.

Chrome (Android): 🔒 → Permissions → Location → Allow, then reload.

No padlock menu? Open Chrome's ⋮ menu → Settings → Site settings → Location, find harmonyfacility.duckdns.org, set it to Allow.

B) Make sure the phone's location is ON

  1. Settings → Location → turn ON.
  2. Settings → Apps → Chrome → Permissions → Location → Allow only while using the app.

🔧 Still not working?

If it still fails, tell your admin which phone and browser you're using.

🍎 iPhone (Safari)

Most of our users are on Android, but if you're on an iPhone:

A) Turn location back on for the site

  1. Open the site in Safari.
  2. Tap aA on the left of the address bar.
  3. Tap Website Settings → Location → Allow.
  4. Reload and tap Punch In.

Safari (iPhone): aA → Website Settings → Location → Allow.

B) Make sure iPhone location is ON

  1. Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → ON.
  2. Tap Safari Websites → While Using the App.

iPhone with Chrome

  1. Settings → Chrome → Location → While Using the App.
  2. Reopen the site in Chrome, reload, tap Punch In → Allow.
